Complimented by Fishman's classic Acoustic Matrix Natural I Preamp, the Guild GAD-30E is not spoiled by any of the preamp components which are normally routed into the side of the body as nearly of the preamp system is contained with the guitars body itself.

During the late ’50s and early ’60s, Guild small body acoustics were the definitive guitars of the folk explosion, and to this day the full, balanced sound of a Guild orchestra model is perfect for nearly any style of playing, both in live performance or recording. The GAD-30 orchestra model is inspired by the original Guild F-30 from 1954. The versatile Guild GAD-30E Acoustic-Electric guitar is built on an orchestra-style body design. This shape offers strong lower midranges and versatile dynamics with smaller length, depth and waist—ideal for acoustic and fingerstyle players.

The GAD-30E guitar's solid Sitka spruce top delivers warm, balanced tone right out of the box. Solid mahogany back and sides enhance these qualities with crisp attack and projection. The Indian rosewood fretboard and bridge offer clear, lasting sustain. The 1-3/4" bone nut is comfortable on your fretting hand. Other enhancements of the Guild GAD-30E include a dovetail neck joint, a strap button with internal block reinforcement, abalone side dot position inlays, a mother-of-pearl headstock logo, mother-of-pearl dotted ebony bridge pins, a mother-of-pearl dotted ebony end pin, a bone nut and saddle, wood body bindings, a tortoise shell pickguard, a back center wood mosaic inlay. Guild dresses all this guitar glory in an antique burst finish.

For amplification, Guild has chosen Fishman's classic Acoustic Matrix Natural I Preamp for the GAD-30E. With the added benefit of ergonomic, soundhole-mounted Volume and Tone rotary controls the Acoustic Matrix Preamp has the same tried and true flagship Acousitc Matrix Pickup. Most of the preamp's components are discretely housed within the guitar's body, eliminating the obtrusive preamp hole typically cut into the side of an acoustic-electric guitar.
