The Seagull Maritime SWS Folk HG QI is part of the superior Maritime Seagull range. This particular model makes excellent use of a high quality pressure tested solid Spruce top and solid mahogany back & sides. This combination of wood along with the superb construction produces a refined, clean and full folk tone. This is an upgraded Seagull guitar with Solid Mahogany back and sides and upgraded spruce top. This Folk HG version of the maritime range provides a balanced but still powerful tone from a smaller folk size body. This guitar is popular with finger style players or those looking for performance from a smaller body size instrument.
Unlike many of the other Seagull models the Maritime SWS Folk HG has a High Gloss finish which has been custom polished to make sure the wood is allowed to resonate correctly. This is a particularly important part of the construction process and really does allow for the instrument to punch well above it weight. These guitars are built in Canada by a dedicated team of experienced luthiers and we highly recommend the Seagull Maritime range. All our Seagull guitars are carefully set up and sent securely in official quality gig bags via our insured courier service. Please email or telephone us if you have any questions regarding the Seagull SWS Folk HG Maritime guitar.
Prepairing a guitar to be dispatched to a customer is an extremely important part of our service. It starts with a thorough inspection of the material and contruction quality. If we do not feel the guitar reaches the expected standard of the make and model it will NOT be dispatched.
When it is established that the construction and material is of the expected quality we then assess how the guitar performs both tonally and playability. Adjustments are then made to make sure the instrument achieves optimum performance.
If you have a preference as to how the guitar is setup we would welcome this at the stage of ordering and carry out the custom setup at NO extra charge.

The first ever Seagull guitar to be made with in 1982 in the village of LaPatrie, Quebec by Robert Godin. The inspiration for these guitars came from the best hand made guitars of the time. Incorporating essetial components from these guitars togeather with Roberts luthier skills brought a superb quality guitar at a price within the reach of working musicians.
Seagull has grown from strength to strength and today represents a massive brand in the acoustic world. They are highly rated guitars which even today still punch well above their price tag giving some extremely reputable brands a run for their money. At Project Music we praise and demonstrate the superb performance of these guitars at evey opportunity and recommend them strongly.
