Jerry Cahill.

About Jerry Cahill

I have played mainly acoustic guitar for years and years and years, played everything that’s possible on it – picked, strummed, hit, slapped, slid on it, stuffed things under the strings, digitised it… and it keeps coming back for more! For years I have played mainly solo with the exception of Nada, a duo consisting of myself and the late and wonderful Pete Barnes on percussion (Indian, African, South American etc), described by the press as “Ambient Indo-European Blues”. I have become somewhat of a regular at the Croissant Neuf stage in Glastonbury Festival, but have performed at various other festies (Green Gathering, Off The Tracks, Stainsby, blah blah blah). I have been busking in various parts of France and Spain,........

Mike first started out playing guitar on his Mothers classical guitar when he just was 14 years old. He started by learning Beatles songs and 90’s pop songs but was soon distracted by more and more bands. One day he watched a Joe Satriani concert on a video tape that his Father lent to him and he realised that’s what he wanted to do, to be able to make music and to be able to play with passion & control. Six months later he finally got his first electric guitar, and after a year of making his fingers bleed (and probably peoples ears too) he was able to play a Joe Satriani song! At this point he was receiving lessons from a local guitar teacher who really pushed him towards a whole new level of ability and musical understanding
