Classic 40's influenced understated build bursting with character combining with modern day craftsmanship and a more comfortable intuitive and expressive neck to suite todays players. This Atkin LG47 Sitka Spruce and Mahogany build 6 string acoustic comes with buckets of tone and style on offer. We especially like the wonderful Aged Nitro Sunburst finishing and sympathetically matching parts. This Atkin LG 47 " The Forty Seven " has Nickel Kluson tuners and has MOP Dot inlays.
This is what Alister Atkin has to say about this fantastic sounding and very sought after model. We love these small-bodied wonders! Our ‘Forty Seven’ is a lightly built X-braced guitar. It sounds incredible for fingerstyle playing, and also has enough size and punch to make it great for flatpicking as well. Our scalloped bracing system brings out the best in this smaller body, giving a bass tone that is strong and more commanding than you would expect from an instrument of this size.
SN: 3302
Many pre-war examples had “baseball” bat sized necks but we add our standard C-shape Atkin neck.
