Great value. sounds and looks great

I cant really afford a National ( maybe one day ). This Gretsch G9220 looks great and sounds great. I have it hanging on my wall in the kitchen and I think its the best looking instrument I own. I am mainly an electric player and usually play Strats and teles but wanted something a bit different. I have always like that old thumping blues type sounds and this Gretsch has plenty of that delta sounds going on. I have also tried it with a bottle neck but need to sit down and spend a bit of time with it played like this before I can claim to be bale to play slide. It sounds great and the guys at Project music in Exeter did a top job setting it up for me.

Its comes with a pickup and it looks nice. I bought my one from Phill at project music and he set it up for me while I waited. My main instrument is violin so this is a bit different to say the least. But it plays well and sounds great. I have not yet mastered any Rye Cooder but have started to try and work a few bits out. a bottle neck is a must if you get one of these. but I found that you need to be careful you don't pick one up that's too big or too small. They just don't work unless you size them correctly. An I find a big difference between the metal and glass ones, so I recommend trying a few before buying.
