Here we have an awesome Taylor 712 from 1993. Its a simply fantastic sounding small body acoustic with Spruce and Rosewood tonewood combination so ideal for finger picking. Its in overall good condition for its age, and we would describe this as an ideal players guitar. There is a small indentation to the front of the top (pictured) and also some lacquer cracking. Its very typical to find guitars that are more than just a few years old to show some lacquer cracking, and it poses no structural issues at all. In fact this guitar is in excellent physical condition with just the usual handling and play marks that any instrument of this age will inevitably show. It has some minor fret ware, but nothing to worry anyone about as they still have plenty of life. If your looking for a pre owned model that's ultra clean and tidy this may not be the one for you. But if your into superb sounding wonderfully played in instruments packed with character, then this little beauty will delight.
This Taylor 712 has been perfectly played in and now offers a clear but full lush tonal character that provides a warm but balanced fundamental note followed by a crisp shimmering lush harmonic content. We have recently had many Taylor guitar through our workshop and this particular 712 really is an especially lovely sounding example of a high end Taylor. We like the intuitive 25.5" scale and comfortable modest body dimensions.
